Our horses are all trained using natural horsemanship.
Our riders are taught a combination of methods, in the hope they will be more well rounded horsemen and be able to make informed decisions regarding their relationship with horses outside of our school. We teach the BHS syllabus, but we also incorporate some natural horsemanship and western ideas into the lessons.
We also teach our own form of natural horsemanship and are considering starting some special lessons later in the year, however if you are interested in learning more you can request this during a private lesson. We are continually learning ourselves, regularly attending seminars and training courses and are happy to support our students with their own learning path and encourage serious students to continually learn and find things out for themselves.
Please note a rider has to be riding at intermediate level to begin on the natural horsemanship lessons.
All riders are trained to classical principles.
All young horses are broken and schooled naturally without force.
All new horses re-schooled naturally.
All the schoolmasters trained are at or above novice level in British dressage.
Please help us to help horses be better understood.
