Our Horses
Here at Milbourne Riding Centre, we have range of horses to suit all abilities. These include a number of schoolmasters to teach the more advanced riders the finer points of riding. Most of these were started and trained by ourselves from untouched youngsters. We have some other more usual school horses that are much quieter and less sensitive for the novice riders that won't mind your mistakes.
Most of our horses are competed regularly in all disciplines.
Our horses love their work. It is very important to us that they are enjoyable to ride and that they don't get tierd and fed up working long, repetitive hours like the average riding school horse. Therefore the average weekly working hours are five, and the advanced horses three.
Our horses are all schooled to respond to the correct aids and commands, so they will teach you to ride in the correct way.
Please don't be despondent if they seem difficult at first, use them to learn from and they will suddenly become easy!
